James Brecknell of JB Web Design was named as a finalist in the 2009 ROCKon Song Awards, judged by music industry experts and involving 62 song entries from Central Queensland.

James has created several full-length pieces and more than 50 short segments of music to demonstrate various styles and arrangements.

JB Web Design's music and audio creations suit web pages, website photo albums, mouse-over effects, Flash animations and other multimedia.

The music is created from pre-recorded instrument sound samples and riffs using computer software. It can undergo detailed editing of note parameters, resulting in highly tailored audio.

Next is customised music, which involves editing of original ready-made pieces. And finally, JB Web Design's most involved work is custom-written music created from scratch to suit your requirements.

Exact duration and instrumentation

You can specify an exact number of minutes and seconds for your musical creation, and even the combination of instruments you desire, provided it falls within the software's capabilities.

Flash integration

Music and other audio can be included in Flash animations to dramatic effect through the synchronisation of audio and visual events.

How the service works

An initial free telephone consultation establishes your requirements before JB Web Design provides a quotation. Your acceptance of a quotation then activates a contract. You then pay a 20% deposit and work begins. You listen to the finished draft, discuss it with JB Web Design, and JB Web Design makes adjustments. You then pay the remaining 80%. JB Web Design provides the audio file by email and/or web download in .wav file format plus any of a number of other file format options available for conversion from .wav.

Software credits

JB Web Design uses software that requires publication of the software title's logo on the media or packaging of published works.
